The aim of this study is to investigate the role of matching the teaching style with
learning styles in the language learning process. Also, it tries to explore how the
teaching style can improve learning styles. A questionnaire was addressed to 30 first
year Master students and another one to 5 teachers at the department of English at the
University of Tlemcen. The results have revealed that if teachers match their teaching
styles to their students‟ learning styles, they will teach efficiently and if the learners
know their own learning style, they can learn better. To conclude, it is very necessary
to match the teacher‟s teaching style with the learner‟s learning style in order to
