P. aeruginosa
P. aeruginosa .
Abstract
P. aeruginosa is a non-fermenting Gram-negative bacterium, an opportunistic pathogen primarily responsible for nosocomial infection. These bacteria show towards the antibiotics a capacity of adaptation more and more which leads to often acute therapeutic problems. The essential oil derived from traditional medicine plants contain biologically active compounds that could play a crucial role in the discovery and development of novel antimicrobial therapeutic agents. The present work has for purposes to evaluate the inhibitory effect of certain essential oils on P. aeruginosa. The results showed that both cinnamon and clove EO had a greater antimicrobial effect on the four strains of P. aeruginosa, unlike the Cistus munbyi EO, which had the lowest antimicrobial effect on all strains. Contrariwise, the EO of Thymus satureioides gave no effect on P. aeruginosa.
[texte imprimé] / HASSAINE Soumia, Auteur ; HAMEK Amina Ep. BENARBIA, Auteur . - [s.d.].
