The Implication of the Second Generation Programme in the Algerian EFL Classroom Across CBA The Case of Second Year EFL pupils at Ferouani Middle School Tlemcen / Nesrine Fatima Zohra KOUBCI
Titre : The Implication of the Second Generation Programme in the Algerian EFL Classroom Across CBA The Case of Second Year EFL pupils at Ferouani Middle School Tlemcen Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Nesrine Fatima Zohra KOUBCI, Auteur Editeur : Tlemcen : University Aboubakr Belkaid Année de publication : 2019 Importance : 60p. on positivism; however, the need for better quality education, innovation and change in
the teaching methods has apparently shifted towards constructivist principles. The focus
on learner-centeredness is as strong as ever, since traditional approaches are less used in
EFL classrooms; instead, many updated approaches have taken place in order to improve
the quality of teaching. As attempts to teach English effectively in Algeria, the CBA
approach has been adopted as an instructional methodology in order to develop learners’
competencies through second generation textbooks. Therefore, the current research aimed
at providing details about the syllabus of second generation programme, the CBA
approach and their impact on the learners’ level and the way teachers adopt this method.
The 2nd year EFL learners at Farouani Middle School are selected as a case study. The
research findings and conclusions show that there is a gap in the textbook syllabus since
the majority of titles focus on teaching oral expression items in opposition to the written
aspects that should be both balanced. In addition, the obstacles that face teachers when
applying this program and the elements they lack. Finally, the researcher tries to provide
possible solutions and suggestions that may help to figure out this situation and improve
good application of the 2nd generation program for both teachers and learners alike. The Implication of the Second Generation Programme in the Algerian EFL Classroom Across CBA The Case of Second Year EFL pupils at Ferouani Middle School Tlemcen [texte imprimé] / Nesrine Fatima Zohra KOUBCI, Auteur . - Tlemcen : University Aboubakr Belkaid, 2019 . - 60p. ; 21*27 cm.

Victorian industrial society on fictitious characters in Charles Dickens‗s Hard Time
(1854). In other words, it aims at depicting the traces of the real Victorian lifestyle on
characters in one of the greatest Dickensian novels; which some critics view as a
dazzling unique masterpiece due to its philosophical, psychological and linguistic
depth. It, therefore, depicts the reflections of the social environment on the
psychological and behavioural structure of the character. The main reasons that
triggered this research are two-fold. First, to decipher the Sociological perplexity of
this novel. Second, to spot and unveil Charles Dickens‘s talent in depicting these
reflections. In so doing, it is necessary to shed light on the major characteristics of the
Victorian Era. Based on the survey of the social background of the Victorian era and
the descriptive analytical methods of characters, it becomes clear that the relationship
between characters and society is dialectical and reciprocal. The characters affect and

switching on the comprehension and the lexical acquisition of EFL learners.
It aims at determining that code switching, which is considered as a
sociolinguistic phenomenon, can be used as a learning strategy that
enhances the English language learning. To reach this end, two
questionnaires have been administered to fifty four students and ten
teachers, respectively, at the English department at the University of
Tlemcen. The analysis of the findings shows that code switching develops
the learners’ language skills and improves the understanding of the
students. Besides, code switching helps the teachers in conveying the

who came to play a central role at the heart of the British Empire and his influence
over Queen Victoria at a time when there was so much talk of sedition and unrest in
India.Yet, at its heart it is a gentle friendship story between an ordinary Indian who

culture to the ageing Monarch that survived the resentment, jealousy and racism that
he caused amongst Victoria’s inner circle and the British Royal family who attempted
to destroy this amity ,and took their revenge from him after the death of Kaiser El

Queen was surprisingly modern in her views on people from other cultures. Through
the analysis of Victoria and Abdul: The True Story of The Queen’s Closest Confidant

aims at exploring the distorted relationship and cultural conflicts between India and

Résumé : Colonized by France from 1893, Ivory Coast (IC) obtained its independence in 1960 and
adopted the French language as the official language of the country. However, before IC
officially became a French colony, many local and African languages were spoken by all
Ivorians. In spite of their covert prestige face to the status of French and its prestige in the
country, those local languages kept their strength against French as not to disappear. Thus,
since that time and till now, the status of French is challenged among Ivorian speakers.
Thenceforth, the present study aims at explaining how French is perceived in IC and also the
attitude of Ivorian speakers towards this language as well. To carry out this study, three
research instruments were used: an observation that helped in preparing questions, a survey

use of role play as teaching technique. The main problem behind this research is that
most EFL learners may face many difficulties. Therefore, researchers believe that there
are a number of ways through which teachers can help their students to improve their
speaking skill ability. The present study aims at shedding light on improving learners’
oral profiency by acting role play as a good model for real life situation into the
classroom. The researcher adopts a mixed methodology which is both qualitative and
quantitative using two instruments of research: a questionnaire and an interview. The
questionnaire was administered to students in high school while, the interview was
directed to EFL teachers .The findings show that teachers and students hold favorable
attitudes towards using role play techniques and that role play is an effective tool to

the Walt Disney Princess Franchise, this dissertation will attempt to establish a
comparison between old and reinterpreted female fairy tale characters; Cinderella in
particular is evaluated. In fact, for this examination a whole selection from both
classic and contemporary Disney official Princess Movies is laid down. The selection
of films consists of Cinderella (1950), Ella Enchanted (2004) and Ella and the Prince
(2015). The analysis shows that female heroines in Disney’s animated Princess
Movies have become more complex and active characters over time. They did even
become decision-makers, holding power either in a positive or negative manner;
something that rendered curious wonderers speechless. This dissertation will,
therefore, first examine how fairy tales became an institutionalized genre, and
secondly analyze the narrative's influence on the cinematic production - mainly
