Résumé : |
Comparative literature epitomizes one of the prominent realms of study that reaches
currently its apogee of efflorescence globally visible in higher education. Given this
credence, this modest work attempts to reinvigorate the subject of Comp lit inside the
Algerian EFL classes, mainly by probing its effectiveness on third Year students’ learning
development at Tlemcen University, notably throughout the use of an interdisciplinary
approach as a state-of-the-art teaching framework. To accomplish this endeavour, the
researcher has invested in three investigative tools, including two questionnaires, an
interview, and two tests. Substantially, the study reveals that the implementation of the
interdisciplinary teaching model inside Comp lit classrooms is a robust engine for
optimizing the students’ critical thinking skills, comparative and synthetic reasoning,
literary understanding and intercultural competence. By the end, the paper ends with some
suggestions and recommendations that aspire, eagerly, to bring a new vista in Comp lit
education in Algerian institutes in the future. |
